These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern plumbing, drain cleaning, hydro jetting, and trenchless sewer replacement services provided by California Drains Rooter & Plumbing Inc. ("Contractor", "we", "us") to residential and commercial clients ("Customer", "you") in the State of California.
1. Scope of Plumbing & Trenchless Services
Contractor agrees to perform the specific plumbing or sewer replacement scope agreed upon in writing on the service agreement, invoice, or approved estimate. Any additions or unforeseen subterranean obstructions (e.g. unmapped concrete footings, abandoned utility lines, severe ground shift) discovered during excavation or pipe pulling will be presented to the Customer with an itemized change order before proceeding.
2. Upfront Estimates & Diagnostic Inspections
California Drains provides upfront flat-rate estimates. For complex sewer line failures, an HD video camera diagnostic inspection may be conducted to determine pipe depth, material composition (clay, iron, Orangeburg, ABS), and root intrusion severity. Video recordings remain available for property owner review.
3. Customer Property Responsibilities
- Site Access: Customer shall provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area, main sewer cleanout, water shutoff valve, and electrical panels if needed.
- Pets & Occupants: Domestic pets must be safely secured away from work zones and trenching pits during operations.
- Underground Utilities: We initiate DigAlert (811) location requests before any ground disturbance. Customers must inform technicians of any known private unrecorded lines (e.g. private landscape lighting, pool lines).
4. Comprehensive Warranty Protection
- Trenchless Seamless Pipe: Carries up to a 50-year manufacturer warranty against root penetration, rust, and pipe wall corrosion.
- Workmanship Guarantee: All labor performed by our licensed technicians carries a minimum 1-year written warranty against installation defects.
- Drain Cleaning / Snaking: Cleared lines carry a 30-day flow guarantee, excluding lines with structural breaks or recurrent unauthorized foreign objects (e.g. wipes, grease, feminine products).
5. Payment & Invoicing Terms
Payment in full is due upon completion of the contracted plumbing service unless formal financing terms have been approved in advance. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit cards, cashier's checks, and cash. Financing options through certified partners are subject to credit approval.
6. California State License Board (CSLB) Notice
Contractors are required by law to be licensed and regulated by the Contractors State License Board which has jurisdiction to investigate complaints against contractors if a complaint regarding a patent act or omission is filed within four years of the date of the alleged violation. California Drains Rooter & Plumbing operates under California License #1084223, fully bonded and carrying general liability insurance for customer protection.
